Do I have to be an existing patient to use telehealth?

Each telehealth appointment is assessed on a case-by-case basis. If you believe that your appointment can be conducted virtually, please select that option on our form, and we will accomodate if at all possible. Should your visit require coming in to our office, our team will let you know.

Is telehealth technology difficult to use?

The platforms we use to conduct telehealth appointments (Zoom and FaceTime) are both simple and free to use. It's as easy as joining a virtual meeting with your company or having a video chat with a friend!

Is telehealth secure?

Our team makes every effort to protect your information, whether you are seen in our office or virtually. 

Does insurance cover telehealth appointments?

In most cases, insurance will cover the cost of telehealth care. To know for sure if this will be the case for you, it is best to contact your insurance provider.

Can I get a prescription via telehealth?

Most medications can be prescribed via telehealth appointments. To learn more about your own prescription, please speak to your physician.

How can I request a telehealth appointment?

If you would like to schedule a telehealth appointment with Bone and Joint Clinic of Baton Rouge, fill out the Request an Appointment form and select either Zoom or FaceTime as your preferred option. Someone from our office will contact you shortly after to confirm your appointment and provide any necessary links.
