Joe A. Morgan, M.D.
Dr. Morgan attended Louisiana Tech University and received his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University. He completed an internship at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee . He was a U.S. Army Captain in Vietnam and served as a combat physician. He completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the Baylor University College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He was certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1973. He has served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Baton Rouge General Medcial Center in 1981 and 1982. Dr. Morgan served as Chief of Staff at Baton Rouge Ambulatory Surgicare Services from 1984 to 1989. He is a Clinical Instructor at the Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans. Dr. Morgan also completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Louisville in 1971 and became certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in Surgery of the Hand in 1989, the first year the test was given for certification.
