X-RAY
The Bone & Joint Clinic operates its own, on-site x-ray facility, staffed by four full-time Registered Radiology Technologists.This provides our patients with the benefit of scheduling a single appointment for evaluation of skeletal disorders.
The level of radiation received by a patient during an orthopaedic diagnostic x-ray procedure is minimal and safe. Our clinic has made additional efforts to keep our patients' exposure to an absolute minimum, with the installation of radiation-reducing filters, and by using x-ray film that allows for minimal exposure levels. Nevertheless, if a patient is or suspects she may be pregnant, she should notify the x-ray technologist before beginning the x-ray procedure.
